Join our team as a Bakery Department Lead at Walmart, where you will be responsible for leading a team of Bakery Associates to deliver exceptional customer service and meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receives and processes merchandise, ensures equipment is in good working order, and maintains accurate records.
  • Maintains a visually appealing sales floor by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or expired items, and setting up product displays.
  • Recruits, selects, trains, and develops Bakery Associates to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers, promoting products, and making purchase decisions.
  • Plans and executes Bakery Store Within A Store (SWAS) initiatives, including inventory management and merchandising programs.
  • Ensures proper handling of claims and returns, secures merchandise, and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Completes and maintains required paperwork, including inventory tracking reports and assignment notes.
Compensation:

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.15 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on relevant experience.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a bakery or retail environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
