About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our Center of Excellence (COE) team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Manager, you will play a key role in leading client engagement teams and assessing, improving, and evaluating/testing our clients' business processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Client Relationships

Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients and EY management throughout the year.

Lead Audit Procedures

Participate in performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized issues.

Industry Expertise

Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.

Staff Oversight

Oversee and review staff work products to ensure high quality.

Leadership and Development

Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.

Performance Reviews

Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training. Lead by example.

Technology and Knowledge Sharing

Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

Team Collaboration

Maintain cooperative relationships with other engagement teams.

Networking and Relationships

Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.

Requirements
  • Education

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field.

Professional Designation

Canadian CPA auditor professional accounting designation, or a reciprocal CPA auditor designation recognized with the CICA is preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience working as an auditor.
