Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning: Develop and implement daily programs that promote physical activity, creativity, and socialization among participants.
  • Program Delivery: Lead and facilitate group activities, games, and crafts that cater to diverse age groups and abilities.
  • Supervision and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, and volunteers at all times.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with staff, parents, and volunteers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment, and ensure their proper use and storage.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Ymcanorthbay in a professional and positive manner, promoting the organization's values and mission.
Requirements
  • Education: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children in group settings, preferably in a camp or recreational environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and abilities.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certifications, and a clear Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.
