We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at Brandt, a leading provider of heavy equipment and transportation solutions. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of truck and trailer-based equipment and attachments in a field environment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, and operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
- Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
- Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate and order parts from parts personnel, and road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
- Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines is considered an asset.
- Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset.
- Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
- Must be registered in the 310T trade.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
