The Pharmacist will be an integral member of the Primary Health Care team, working in conjunction with healthcare professionals, pharmacy personnel, and patients to provide comprehensive, patient-focused pharmaceutical care. Key responsibilities encompass resolving medication-related challenges, conducting medication reviews, educating patients, and offering insights to the healthcare team. The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal medication management by supervising drug distribution processes and supporting the objectives of Nova Scotia Health Authority's Pharmacy Services.
Some travel may be required for this position.
Required Qualifications- Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program is advantageous
- Valid Pharmacy license in Nova Scotia
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Expertise in pharmacology and therapeutics
- Excellent communication abilities
- Capability to provide timely medication recommendations
- Knowledge of the French language is a plus
Applicants should include all pertinent education, experience, training, and certifications in their resume.
Work Schedule- Full-time role; 75 hours every two weeks
- Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Hourly wage of $53.24
