Job Summary:
Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Advisor to join our team in the Prince George area. This is a field position, requiring travel to various construction sites throughout Western Canada.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement effective safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop and implement safety plans.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, including incident reports and safety audits.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant safety legislation and regulations, including Alberta and British Columbia OHS Legislation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Techmation Electric & Controls is a leading provider of electrical and instrumentation services to the oil and gas industry in Western Canada. We are committed to delivering high-quality services while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- NCSO Designation is required.
- Considerable experience working within the construction industry (minimum of five years).
- Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation (Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Certificate) is considered an asset.
- Previous management experience is an asset.
- Familiar with Alberta and British Columbia WCB.
- Familiar with CSAZ460 and CSAZ462.
- Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals, and Driving & Journey Management certificates.
- Must have a flexible work schedule - shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Able to work with little to no supervision.
- Must have effective time management skills.
