Lifemark Health Group is in search of a skilled and approachable Licensed Clinical Therapist to become a vital part of our dynamic team at the Lifemark Physiotherapy Nordel Way Clinic.
The successful candidate will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive intake assessments and therapeutic services for clients facing various psychological and physical challenges. This role offers the chance to engage with diverse programs, including WorkSafeBC, ICBC, LTD, MVA, and Mental Health Work, supported by a strong referral network and numerous specialty initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, consultation, and psychoeducational services to clients
- Actively participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain effective communication with clients, staff, employers, referral sources, family members, and fellow therapists
- Provide psychological case management insights and guidance to therapy teams regarding initial assessments, treatment planning, client progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions, problem-solving, and discharge planning
- Ensure quality reporting and communication
- Offer orientation and mentoring to assist team members in managing clients' psychosocial challenges
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in return-to-work or physical rehabilitation settings
- Professional registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)
- Ability to employ creative and structured methods to empower clients in self-management
- Proficient in writing clear and comprehensive reports and correspondence
- Skilled in adapting communication styles to meet the needs of individual clients
- Experience with chronic pain and post-concussive symptoms is an asset
