As part of WSP's Remediation Program Management (RPM) team, you will oversee a risk assessment group and contribute your expertise to a variety of projects that require your knowledge in risk assessment, toxicology, or related fields. - Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff members.
- Collaborate with regulatory representatives to facilitate understanding of guideline modifications.
- Support project managers in coordinating effective workflows among team members.
- Cultivate relationships with internal and external clients.
- Participate in the development of operational procedures.
- Analyze and interpret datasets, preparing written and graphical materials for reports and presentations.
- Implement quality assurance measures relevant to the tasks.
- Prepare proposals and reports as required.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, toxicology, biological sciences, or a related discipline.
- Registration with a relevant professional association or eligibility for registration.
- Over 15 years of pertinent experience.
- A strong desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative team setting.
- Experience in conducting human health and ecological risk assessments.
- Field experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Alberta standards and federal guidelines.
- Certification for Alberta Subsoil Salinity Tool is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and a commitment to data quality.
- Excellent report writing capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Understanding of provincial and federal contaminated sites policy frameworks.
- A valid driver's license.
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
