Line Technician

As a Line Technician with The Canadian Army, you will play a critical role in providing fast, reliable, and secure communications infrastructure to support the military's operations. Your expertise will be essential in installing, maintaining, and repairing complex communication systems, ensuring seamless connectivity across the country and around the world.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and maintain interior and exterior cable systems, including copper and fibre optic cables
- Integrate radio, satellite, and microwave broadband equipment into wired networks
- Repair and maintain communications towers and antennas
- Provide technical support for communication systems and networks
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- Grade 10 or Secondary 4 education, including Grade 10 Applied Math or Math 416 in Quebec
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
As a Line Technician, you will undergo comprehensive training at the Canadian Forces School of Communication and Electronics in Kingston, Ontario. This training will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your role, including working aloft procedures, confined space procedures, and rescue procedures.
Specialized Training:Opportunities for specialized training are available, including complex antenna systems, specialty rescue training, and advanced rigging training. This will enable you to develop advanced skills and take on more challenging roles within the organization.
