Job Summary

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and be legally entitled to work in Canada. We are not currently accepting international applicants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to introduce Chelsea Hotel, Toronto and LHG brand to various market segments and surrounding communities.
  • Drive the achievement of catering food and beverage revenue goals, solicitation activity, lead development, market research, and negotiation of catering and event business.
  • Collaborate with the hotel marketing team to promote the hotel on social media platforms.
  • Entertain potential and existing clients, and assist in mapping out event programs to maximize hotel revenue and resources.
  • Work closely with operating departments to exceed guest expectations by providing clear, timely, and effective information.
  • Upsell food and beverage menus to maximize revenues within set guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event design and/or event sales.
  • Previous catering experience at a hotel or event venue is an asset.
  • Experience with Delphi and Microsoft Word/Excel is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Hotel Management degree.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
