We are currently seeking a full-time Janitorial Site Manager based in Burnaby, BC.

Job Responsibilities

The Janitorial Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of up to 80 janitorial and maintenance staff. Key duties include:

  • Supervising daily operations and ensuring quality service levels
  • Monitoring site performance and making recommendations for improvement
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels and training team members on standard operating procedures
  • Liaising with Property Management and key stakeholders on operational requirements and updates
  • Completing daily cleaning and washrooms logs

Weekly Responsibilities

The Janitorial Site Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the site schedule is completed and communicated to the client and team
  • Assessing staffing levels and making recommendations for changes
  • Performing supply orders and equipment repair/maintenance requests
  • Attending site-related operations, client, or company meetings

Monthly Responsibilities

The Janitorial Site Manager will be responsible for:

  • Performing site supplies audits and verifying deliveries
  • Noting and completing additional work requests outside of the scope of work
  • Checking monthly service hours balance and developing staffing plans accordingly

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role or lead hand
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Exceptional leadership skills and customer relations experience
  • Experience with commercial cleaning and handyman/maintenance
  • A good understanding of SDS sheets and knowledge of health and safety regulations
