Field Technician I

Job Summary

The Field Technician I is a key member of our team at Core Laboratories, responsible for collecting client samples from oil and gas wells and facilities within their assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect samples from oil/gas wells and facilities in accordance with Core Lab standard operating procedures.
  • Respond to client concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop expertise in specialized sampling techniques and procedures.
  • Maintain field vehicles in good working order, including routine servicing, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Conduct field analysis and sampling in accordance with "Field Services Standard Operating Procedures and Forms".
  • Stay up-to-date with analytical services provided by Core Laboratories and those required by clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality management system requirements of Core Lab and clients.
  • Maintain effective communication with Calgary and Edmonton laboratories, and inform supervisor of any incidents with field equipment, trucks, or sampling.
  • Be available to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • College graduate or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Valid and clean driver's license.
