Job Summary:

The University of Guelph is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Client Services Representative to join our team at the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will provide exceptional service to our clients and patients, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm welcome to clients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Schedule, admit, and discharge patients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and handling of payments, maintaining a high level of financial accuracy
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary care team to provide exceptional patient care and service
  • Assist with cross-training in multiple client service areas, including the Companion Animal Hospital, Animal Cancer Centre, and Large Animal Hospital

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a one (1) year Veterinary Office Administration or Medical Office Administration program, plus some related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience obtained in a veterinary/medical environment
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, demonstrated computer skills, experience in handling payments and cash
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, client service skills, and the ability to work in a hectic environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility in scheduling availability
