Job Title: Senior Vice President, Asset Management

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President, Asset Management to lead our Canadian Buildings Engineering division in our Places Global Business Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business unit with ultimate accountability for P&L performance, service quality delivery, and profitable growth.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the strategy to ensure service quality delivery, service excellence, and profitable growth within the unit.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of senior specialists by recruiting, setting objectives, and reviewing performance.
  • Develop and implement the business plan for the unit and ensure the team understands it and their role in its achievement.
  • Lead the identification and targeting of clients through the delivery of service excellence to drive growth in organic revenue.
  • Coach and mentor discipline managers and service managers to ensure all projects are set up for success and appropriate governance is adhered to.
  • Lead the identification of talent in the business unit and promote career development by directing individuals to appropriate development programs.
  • Lead decisions on resource utilization within the business unit and maintain the integrity of the unit composition and pyramid management structure.
  • Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the business unit's clients and the market to identify key trends and emerging opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada with at least 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization, particularly senior levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Technical knowledge to recognize and manage risk in running a design-led Business Unit.
  • Well-developed commercial skills with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
