Position Overview

As the Vice President of Engineering, you will assume a pivotal leadership role in steering the engineering initiatives of Mxv to align with our strategic objectives. This position is integral to shaping the future of our engineering practices and fostering a culture of innovation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering roadmap in collaboration with product management to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Oversee engineering operations, including resource allocation and project prioritization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy that aligns with Mxv's business goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Manage the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance organizational processes.
  • Provide mentorship and support to engineering staff, promoting professional growth.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in engineering roles.
  • At least 5 years in leadership positions overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • A proven track record of driving high-performance cultures and delivering results in dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and strategic risk-taking.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Python, Flask, React, AWS, Docker, and GraphQL.

Compensation and Benefits
