Bar Manager

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our team at The Vancouver Club, a distinguished private members club in downtown Vancouver. Established in 1893, our club has a rich history and a commitment to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and develop beverage service staff, including developing a training program for the beverage team.
- Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance.
- Perform skills/knowledge assessments with staff to identify areas where training is necessary.
- Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action to address service challenges.
- Assist with service in the Grill, Lounge, and Rooftop during peak periods to create sales of wines and spirits.
- Source all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Participate in monthly inventory counts of all wine, spirits, and other beverages.
- Develop and execute the VC Cocktail program and all Club events that require beverage requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
- Extensive experience in Food and Beverage Service.
- Experience at a private club is a bonus.
- WSET Level 2 or ISG Diploma.
- Computer Knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Demonstrate superior customer service philosophy.
- Must have a professional appearance and manner, a gracious attitude, and the ability to interact with diverse groups.
