Your prospective team:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will report directly to the Planning Director and collaborate with fellow team members in the Planning department.

Key Responsibilities:

The Continuous Improvement Manager, Planning will enhance the Supply Planning function by spearheading evaluations of business processes and leading optimization initiatives. A solid grasp of the S&OP process is essential, as you will work closely with production scheduling to meet service, capacity, and inventory objectives. Your role will include managing allocations to ensure optimal utilization of production capacity.

  • Communicating S&OP status to management and developing scenarios for potential future developments.
  • Creating and refining reports to ensure effective use of production lines.
  • Understanding production scheduling for SFG and FG to maximize efficiency and minimize waste while adhering to campaign and sequencing protocols.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure Planned Availability meets service targets.
  • Overseeing production capacity to maintain safety buffers and manage lead times for customer orders.
  • Addressing exceptions that may disrupt timely order fulfillment while maintaining production efficiency.
  • Responding promptly to Customer Service inquiries.
  • Monitoring capacity to prevent overbooking and production line gaps.
  • Updating and analyzing Production KPIs (e.g., schedule adherence).
  • Coordinating with other Supply Chain departments as necessary.
  • Ensuring a stock build plan is in place before annual maintenance shutdowns.
  • Assisting the Supply Planning team in identifying and prioritizing projects and initiatives.
  • Promoting collaboration and transparent communication regarding ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Working closely with the Service Model project to ensure Supply Planning needs are addressed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in supply planning or scheduling within a complex, multi-site manufacturing organization.
  • Strong project management and facilitation capabilities.
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, along with strong meeting facilitation and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in demand and supply planning (S&OP process).
  • Familiarity with both Made to Order (MTO) and Made to Stock (MTS) processes.
  • Proven track record in leading projects focused on operational excellence and optimization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
