FLINT Corp. is seeking a seasoned Heavy Equipment Operator to support diverse mining operations. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will operate various heavy machinery to execute excavation and heavy equipment operations within an open pit mine. Your expertise in safe equipment operation and effective communication with fellow operators will be crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute excavation and heavy equipment operations within an open pit mine.
* Operate designated heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
* Engage in all safety protocols and contribute to fostering a safety-conscious culture.
* Participate in training sessions for new equipment as required.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 6000 hours of experience operating a 250+ excavator, coupled with at least 2000 hours on either a 785+ haul truck or D8+ dozer.
* Demonstrated experience in open pit mining, with a minimum of 2000 hours.
* Possess a valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract.
* Completion of Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or Basic Safety Orientation (BSO).
* Preferably, a high school diploma or post-secondary degree.
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
* Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting etc.
