FortisBC is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of financial activities, including cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and develop operational unit budgets across multiple Fortis group of companies.
- Prepare and present regular performance and variance reviews.
- Maintain a current knowledge of applicable accounting and financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the development of recommendations to enhance or establish financial policies and procedures.
- Conduct research, special analyses, and prepare reports related to operational unit activities, unit costs, and programs.
- Education: Completion of Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Experience: Three (3) years directly related relevant experience.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, cost benefit analysis, and related analytical techniques.
