About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at B.C. Strata Employee Management Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Supervision and Teamwork: Supervise other workers and work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Weather-Related Tasks: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
