Job Title: Cashier (PT, Station Square Food Store)

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a part-time Cashier at our Station Square Food Store location in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, process transactions efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized store environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to customers
  • Scan items and process transactions in an efficient manner
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, as well as bag customer groceries
  • Complete returns of merchandise according to company policy
  • Stock and clean front-end merchandising areas, including facing shelves near the till
  • Complete opening and closing procedures for registers, reconciling tills according to established procedures
  • Provide information to customers regarding memberships and assist in selling new memberships
  • Share information with customers and members about sales, specials, and upcoming store events
  • Contribute to a team environment by assisting in other areas as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous retail experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in a fast-paced and time-sensitive work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Intermediate computer skills
