About the Role

PAPA-GRANT MECHANICAL INC. is seeking a skilled Gas Fitter Technician to join our team. As a Gas Fitter Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas lines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment, install and maintain meters and regulators, and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter.
  • Repair and Service: Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment, advise clients regarding standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Test and adjust control mechanisms, check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices, and troubleshoot and isolate faults.
  • Documentation and Certification: Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and certifications, including Gas Fitter Trade Certification.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in gas fitting and installation.
  • Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
