Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Project Engineer to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. This role will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful build and completion of large-scale industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site construction scheduling support and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Manage claims from construction companies and finalize purchase orders within company committees.
  • Coordinate and schedule milestones with construction partners, considering all interfaces.
  • Schedule and monitor assigned tasks and projects to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports for project teams, business areas, and leadership.
  • Conduct site inspections to manage progress and deliver progress reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, MEP engineering, or related field.
  • ~ 5+ years relevant work experience in engineering, architecture, construction, or equivalent.
  • Well-organized with experience in setting up, scheduling, and tracking milestones within large construction projects.
  • Able to work safely on an active construction site in accordance with the Health & Safety Plan.
  • Proficient in workflows and quality control/quality assurance.
