Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our staffing department, you will be responsible for coordinating staffing duties for various programs, ensuring seamless operations and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Staff Scheduling: Prepare and post staff rotations and schedules for units, adjusting as needed to account for leaves of absence, vacancies, and terminations.
  2. Relief Staffing: Make arrangements for relief staffing, receiving notifications from staff and/or Staffing Services, and contacting relief staff to fill vacancies.
  3. Vacation and Leave Management: Process requests for vacation, leave of absence, termination, maternity, and parental leave, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  4. Timekeeping and Payroll: Maintain timekeeping records for staff, submitting information to Payroll and liaising with Payroll regarding inquiries and adjustments.
  5. Record-Keeping and Documentation: Maintain related records and documentation, including attendance records, paid leave forms, and relief staff availability.
  6. Posting and Recruitment: Assist with the posting and recruitment process, preparing information on vacancies and submitting to the Program Manager for approval.
  7. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including typing technical and non-technical material, arranging meetings and appointments, and performing receptionist duties.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 and four (4) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to type at 40 wpm.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
