Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized security services in a professional manner, adhering to clients' needs and expectations.
  • Patrol airport properties to ensure the safety of persons and property, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Operate a marked company mobile vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of personnel and equipment.
  • Report irregularities, including security breaches, safety hazards, and emergencies, and contact appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries from the public and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required, demonstrating a commitment to the well-being of others.
  • Escort and monitor YYJ contractors and trades in secure and sensitive areas of the airport and airfield, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Verify that all contractors have valid temporary passes to work in assigned areas, maintaining accurate records and ensuring security clearance.
  • Respond and react to emergency situations, demonstrating a high level of situational awareness and crisis management skills.
Requirements
  • Able to provide exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on building positive relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Eligible to work in Canada, with a valid work permit or citizenship.
  • Possess or able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
  • Class 5 or Class 7 driver's license is a must-have, with a clean driving record.
  • Airside Vehicle Operator Permit is an asset, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in operating airport vehicles.
  • RAIC is an asset, indicating a strong understanding of airport security protocols.
  • BC SWL is a must-have, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
  • OFA1 is an asset, demonstrating a commitment to occupational health and safety.
