Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
- Provide guidance and training to staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Food Quality and Safety
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Implement and maintain effective food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
- Inventory and Supply Management
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for service.
- Manage inventory levels and monitor waste to minimize costs and optimize efficiency.
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping
- Prepare and submit reports on food sales, inventory, and other relevant metrics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff performance, customer feedback, and other key metrics.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced food service environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Language and Work TermThe language of work is English and the work term is permanent.
