Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Job Summary:

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our patients in their homes or facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, and skincare.
  • Assess and respond to the changing needs of patients, communicating with healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Perform delegated tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Travel to patients' residences or facilities within assigned regions.

Requirements:

  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, and lifting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check.
  • Updated immunization record, including TB Test.
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
