Municipal Group of Companies is a leading provider of construction services in the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Dozer Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, load, and grade materials on the worksite. This includes:

  • Operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and grade materials
  • Grading various parts of the worksite to the designed elevation in a timely manner
  • Performing daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment
  • Repairing and maintaining equipment in good condition
  • Advising the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
  • Ensuring a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Protecting and promoting the interests of Municipal Group of Companies
  • Ensuring the safety of fellow employees

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years' experience in a construction environment
  • Knowledge of construction site protocols, rules, and code of conduct
  • Ability to operate equipment using advanced grading techniques (i.e., GPS)
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
