Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences, conducting hearing evaluations, and fitting hearing aids to meet the unique needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, including testing and examinations, to determine the best hearing aid solution for each patient.
- Fit hearing aids, ensuring proper fit and function, and provide follow-up care to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address patient hearing loss and improve communication skills.
- Provide education and counseling to patients on hearing loss, hearing aid technology, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and referrals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and product knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Registered Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) in the Province of British Columbia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex patient needs and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proven track record of success in a patient care or sales environment, with a strong understanding of hearing aid technology and patient needs.
