The Manager collaborates closely with students, coaches, and university staff to oversee the creation, execution, and evaluation of athletic initiatives. Key responsibilities include partnering with the Director of Athletics to lead and assess all aspects of coaching staff, including full-time, part-time, and volunteer coaches.
As a representative of the University, the Manager is tasked with attracting high-caliber coaches and athletes, enhancing the institution's reputation for outstanding athletics and sports teams. Additionally, the Manager will engage with external service providers and provincial and national organizations to advance and coordinate sports initiatives across Canada.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Sports Administration, Physical Education, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in a student-centered environment, particularly in athletics, recreation, or higher education. A clean Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check is also mandatory.
