Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for conducting construction layout and engineering survey services for the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT Project.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct topographic surveys, engineering surveys, and as-built surveys to ensure accurate data collection and quality control.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of conventional and GPS survey equipment, including robotic total stations and Windows-based data collectors.
  • Collect and analyze field data, ensuring accurate and timely completion of field reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience in surveys, with a minimum of 2 years in construction surveying.
  • Experience with operating robotic total stations, Windows-based data collectors, GNSS technology, and other data collection technologies.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Completion of a 2-year minimum college program in geomatics technology or equivalent combination of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, with a clean abstract, and valid applicable safety tickets (Confined Space, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift).
