RPN Supervisor for Long-Term Care

Role Overview: As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care provided to residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that resident care aligns with established nursing standards, physician directives, and organizational policies.
- Assist in assessing and monitoring residents while developing, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of nursing and personal care staff, including conducting orientations and fulfilling supervisory responsibilities.
- Monitor staff performance, carry out performance evaluations, and address any issues with the Director of Care.
- Provide leadership to the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Care.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A genuine passion for providing care to seniors.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is advantageous, with a solid understanding of relevant duties.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Creative problem-solving abilities to consider the broader context.
