About This Role

Your Challenges

  • Develop and execute test plans for avionics systems on the CF-18 fighter jet, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Design and implement innovative test solutions to improve the operational effectiveness of the CF-18's onboard software applications.
  • Collaborate with operational specialists, including CF-18 pilots, to identify and address test requirements.
  • Support the Canadian Armed Forces on the ground during flight exercises, providing technical expertise and assistance as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate new avionics systems and software applications.

Your Strengths

  • Bachelor of engineering degree in a relevant field, such as electrical or computer engineering.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in software development, testing, or avionics engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or C#.
  • Knowledge of aeronautics, avionics, and testing principles.
  • Experience with development, integration, and real-time testing of embedded software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively.

Operational Requirements

  • Must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR requirements.
  • Eligibility for a government of Canada 'Reliability' status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a secure environment and maintain confidentiality.
