Position Overview
The Healthcare Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the medical team and enhancing the operational efficiency of our healthcare facilities. This position involves a blend of clerical and receptionist responsibilities that are vital to the smooth functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Clerical Duties: This includes organizing, filing, and inputting physician orders into the system, scheduling patient appointments, coordinating patient transport, managing supply orders, and performing various administrative tasks as needed.
- Receptionist Duties: Responsibilities include managing visitor and patient interactions, directing phone calls to the appropriate staff, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Cross-Unit Support: The successful candidate will provide assistance to other medical units as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated reliability and a solid performance record.
