Position Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Supervisor at Claire's, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail performance goals through effective sales strategies.
  • In the absence of other management, you will be tasked with opening and closing the store, ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Creating a fun and engaging environment for customers.
  • Showcasing Claire's products effectively.
  • Addressing customer inquiries with your extensive product knowledge.
  • Supporting store operations including deliveries, visual merchandising, inventory management, markdowns, and promotional activities.
  • Participating in ear piercing services (training provided).
  • Maintaining an inviting and well-presented store atmosphere.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile
  • Some high school education is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in retail is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Understanding the significance of customer service.
  • Good mathematical skills and strong reading comprehension.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed to assist customers and manage merchandise.
  • Experience operating a POS system.
