About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Assistant to join our team at NO. 1 SAFETY ROOFING. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of roofing and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Measure and prepare materials for rigging and hoisting operations.
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections on cranes and other equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other machinery.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and cleaning up debris.
  • Perform routine maintenance work and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • English language proficiency.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is outdoors, and the employee will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
