We are seeking a skilled Scheduler to join our team at PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Montréal, Quebec, Oakville, Ontario, or Toronto, Ontario. As a Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including site staff, subcontractors, and project team members.
- Prepare and review project schedules, including quantity take-offs and production analysis.
- Communicate schedule updates and complex schedule information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases.
- Facilitate interactive planning and scheduling sessions with project stakeholders.
- Assist project management in creating and monitoring short-term schedules and determining their impact on the master schedule.
- Identify and communicate schedule delays, impacts, and variances to the PCL Baseline Schedule.
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction industry experience.
- Minimum 1-4 years of dedicated planning and scheduling experience with direct hire trades and subcontractors.
- In-depth knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods, and procedures.
- Experience with field construction operations and the ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and proposal documents.
- Ability to complete quantity take-offs and understand productivity rates with implementation in a project schedule.
- Advanced understanding of planning and scheduling principles, best practices, and techniques.
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work for themselves and others, under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 EPPM.
