Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education: Provide high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Program Development: Assist in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child care and education.
  • Teamwork: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and development, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Program Planning: Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Day care centre or nursery school.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctual, reliable, creative, and able to multitask.
