Job Summary

Aurora Design Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled Structural Metal and Platework Fitter-Welder to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures, as well as welding or bolting sections together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine materials required for projects
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal fabrication
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Weld or bolt sections together
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in metal fabrication
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check
  • Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, and hard hat
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job with a permanent employment contract. The working hours are 40 hours per week, and the language of work is English.
