Job Summary

Aurora Design Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled Structural Metal and Platework Fitter-Welder to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures, welding or bolting sections together, and setting up and operating heavy-duty metal-working machines.

Responsibilities
  • Determine materials required for projects
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal fabrication
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Weld or bolt sections together
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates for metal fabrication
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding
  • Basic security clearance
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to travel and relocate
Work Environment

This is a dangerous, noisy, and outdoors work environment. You will be required to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
