Senior Business Analyst – Yardi

Vancouver, BC

About the Role

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating and documenting business requirements, processes and business rules to drive business solutions. This includes supporting technology design and re-design activities through interpretation and clarification of business requirements and processes, and assessing impacts of changes to other functional processes and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a complex real estate services environment. Experience in analysis, troubleshooting, and support of multiple enterprise applications is also required. Strong understanding of the real estate business and key business processes is essential.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading and/or assisting with the creation of business cases, ROIs, and other project related documentation, as required, with input from key business stakeholders. They will also investigate and analyze opportunities to help improve business efficiencies and maximize use of QuadReal Enterprise Applications.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships at all levels of an organization. They will also have the ability to apply practical business analysis and project management best practices, and be adaptable to constant change.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements, processes and business rules to drive business solutions
  • Support technology design and re-design activities through interpretation and clarification of business requirements and processes and assess impacts of changes to other functional processes and systems
  • Lead and/or assist with the creation of business cases, ROIs, and other project related documentation, as required, with input from key business stakeholders
  • Investigate and analyze opportunities to help improve business efficiencies and maximize use of QuadReal Enterprise Applications
  • Facilitate and/or assist with the system selection process and support subsequent related activities, including implementation and sustainment
  • Create, execute, and document test cases/test scripts to validate system changes, and provide framework to support end user acceptance testing
  • Coordinate, support and help business users resolve day-to-day support issues including application software and operational systems
  • Assist and support project teams and business representatives throughout projects
  • Create and maintain user guides, manuals and other related materials
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a complex real estate services environment
  • Experience in analysis, troubleshooting, and support of multiple enterprise applications
  • Experience with Yardi's Voyager (specifically Investment Accounting and InvestorPlus), Elevate and other applications would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of the real estate business and key business processes
  • Detail oriented with superior documentation skills
  • Excels at problem-solving and customer relationships
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills
