About the teams hiring within Identity:

Identity Verifications: The Identity Verifications team develops and implements solutions that facilitate customer onboarding to Cash App. We concentrate on the initial collection and verification of information that enables customers to access our range of financial products.

Identity Lifecycle: The Identity Lifecycle team creates and maintains scalable solutions for managing customer identity information, focusing on supporting our customers beyond the initial onboarding phase.

As a member of the Cash App Identity team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining the core systems utilized for identity management on Cash App.
  • Creating a scalable, secure, and reliable identity system.
  • Innovatively addressing complex technical challenges at scale.
  • Utilizing industry-leading identity verification technologies.
  • Contributing to the definition and implementation of an expanding roadmap.
  • Working closely with Compliance and Legal teams to facilitate audits and implement regulatory controls.
  • Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for our services.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working on complex systems and delivering high-quality software.
  • A strong sense of curiosity and a passion for developing creative solutions to intricate problems.
  • Experience with systems requiring data consistency and availability.
  • A track record of taking technical initiative in previous projects.
  • Proven experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle.
