The Treasury Board Secretariat is a key central agency driving Manitoba's journey to fiscal sustainability. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Treasury Board Analyst.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and advice to Treasury Board, senior management, and other government officials on complex program and financial issues.
  • Undertake financial projections and analyses, and prepare briefing material for senior management and Treasury Board.
  • Establish and independently manage strong working relationships with departmental personnel and senior government officials.
  • Assist and advise departments on appropriate guidelines, procedures, and directives.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in public administration, business administration, commerce, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with a focus on financial and/or business analysis.
  • Experience conducting research, analysis, and providing recommendations on a variety of issues, including the relevance and impact of government policies.
  • Experience undertaking complex program/policy analysis and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding of political acumen and experience dealing with confidential, complex, and sensitive materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships within a team and with a variety of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of budget and financial processes.
  • Experience writing and/or analyzing authority-seeking documents, such as Treasury Board Submissions.
