Lantic Inc. is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team at our Montreal refinery. As a Process Engineer, you will provide technical support to operations and maintenance, identifying process improvements to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase sugar recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure continuous improvement of daily operations;
- Develop and propose capital expenditures to support improvements and provide project management;
- Manage performance indicators, such as melt rate and improvement of management indicators;
- Support the maintenance sector: validate maintenance work priorities during planned shutdowns and keep work orders up to date;
- Support the engineering sector: validation of concepts/development/schedules and provide specific data to stakeholders;
- Coach, influence, and mobilize employees based on the company's mission and values.
• Bachelor's degree/graduate diploma in mechanical engineering (chemical/electrical knowledge an asset);
• Be a member of the Order of Engineers;
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
• Factory manufacturing experience and expertise in manufacturing techniques, familiarity with continuous improvement concepts (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.);
• Proficiency in Autocad or other design software;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills;
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute project plans that achieved identified objectives;
• Planning and project management skills;
• Analysis and diagnostic capacity;
• Ability to define a strategy including its implementation;
• Good conflict management and informed decision making;
• Be results-oriented and detail-oriented;
• Ability to manage change and multiple tasks.
