About the Role:
Metro Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our operations team, as well as assisting in the implementation of new projects and infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze infrastructure needs for our server systems
- Develop and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements
- Document and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions
- Participate in various activities related to server infrastructure, including analysis, execution, and support
- Provide technical support to users during the deployment of new changes
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners within the company, translating their needs into technical requirements
- Anticipate and mitigate risks by implementing controls and action plans to ensure smooth production deployments
- Contribute to operational support under the responsibility of your sector
- Monitor and maintain active surveillance of production system activities
- Follow up and maintain technologies under your responsibility in a proactive approach
- Participate in continuous improvement of services provided by your sector
- Investigate and resolve problems or incidents, and open tickets with equipment and service providers as needed
- Advise and assist other sectors of the Information Systems and users in a perspective of improvement and innovation
- Participate in quality control activities for processes within your sector
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in Windows and VMware server administration, cloud computing, and security
- Strong knowledge of various operating systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022)
- Good knowledge of technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, Office365, System Center Suite, Load Balancer, and Azure AD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Bilingualism (oral and written) is essential
- Availability to provide support outside of regular office hours (24/7, as needed)
- May require travel between Metro offices (Laval, Montreal, Varennes, Ontario)
