Contractual Position
Role Overview: Reporting to the Associate Director of Pre-Award, this role is essential for the formulation and execution of the unit's information management and safeguarding protocols. The incumbent will be tasked with:
- Investigating optimal practices in the management of university research office records.
- Creating tools and resources to ensure the preservation, protection, retention, archiving, and disposal of unit records across various formats.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive records management strategy.
- Collaborating with staff to define appropriate retention and disposal schedules for university records.
- Assisting in data migration efforts and the elimination of redundant files in coordination with senior management.
- Providing training on information management to RIS personnel.
- Executing additional related responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in records and information management.
- An undergraduate degree in business administration, information technology, or records and information management, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Proficiency in developing resources for an information management framework, alongside a solid understanding of project and change management principles.
- Essential knowledge of information management and protection principles.
- Experience with records in diverse formats (e.g., electronic, paper) and familiarity with records or document management systems.
- Awareness of relevant information management legislation at both federal and provincial levels.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Experience in a university setting and familiarity with university policies would be advantageous.
Compensation: $66,092 - $90,126 per annum (Management and Professional)
