Bilingual Pharmacy Strategy Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced bilingual pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacy Strategy Specialist. In this role, you will provide thought leadership to inform GreenShield's pharmacy strategy in the Quebec market, working closely with cross-functional teams to service clients and support product development within the pharmacy benefit management team.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in GreenShield's Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, bringing the Quebec perspective to inform drug benefit evaluation and listing decisions.
- Provide guidance on formulary development, drug benefit administration, and drug claims adjudication, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support and provide subject matter expertise to the pharmacy clinical services team on evaluation of drug prior authorization requests.
- Accountable for competitive positioning, product development, management, and maintenance of the pharmacy product portfolio with a focus on the Quebec market.
- Act as a subject matter expert for existing and new pharmacy products and offerings.
- Monitor and evaluate relevant industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the pharmacy benefits industry with a focus on the Quebec market.
- Work directly with clients to field, manage, and respond to drug and pharmacy inquiries.
- Collaborate with the client service team to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
- Develop and deliver pharmacy benefits-related presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate and support the creation and maintenance of best-in-class RFP responses for pharmacy offerings.
- Attend and/or represent GreenShield at conferences and other industry events.
- Strong working knowledge of the regulatory and competitive environment for prescription drugs and pharmacy benefits, with awareness and ability to anticipate key trends.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and documentation skills, able to convey complex information clearly and succinctly to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and self-directed, able to make effective decisions and recommendations leveraging the team expertise and/or independently.
- Ability to travel.
- Written and spoken bilingualism in French and English.
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing to practice in the province of Quebec.
- Experience in the private benefits industry.
- Experience with formulary review and health technology assessment is an asset.
