Senior QA Analyst

Compulsion Games, a first-party game studio and subsidiary of Microsoft's Xbox Game Studios, is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Analyst to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate quality assurance expert to work directly with our development teams, ensuring our games are polished and engaging. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of quality assurance experience and a strong understanding of database and bug-tracking software.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with development teams to create quality content and ensure seamless game development.
  2. Clearly document issues and ensure they can be reproduced effectively.
  3. Develop and execute test cases for assigned areas, providing constructive feedback on systems, features, and overall game quality.
  4. Act as a subject matter expert for areas of ownership and proactively drive quality forward.
  5. Assist other members of the quality assurance team and work with industry veterans who are passionate about their craft.
  6. Perform regression testing and maintain awareness of issues history and overall quality issues for assigned areas.
  7. Develop recommendations to improve the development process based on issues and quality metrics.

Requirements

  1. 2+ years' experience in game or software quality assurance.
  2. Excellent understanding of database and bug-tracking software (Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.).
  3. Experience designing and managing re-usable test cases and test suites (TestRail).
  4. Experience with coordinating test runs and documenting processes and new testing procedures (Confluence).
  5. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of assigned areas.
  6. Passion for video games and interactive storytelling.
  7. Passion for game quality assurance and testing.
  8. Innate desire to understand how things work and a willingness to learn.
