Job Title: Network Specialist

The Network Specialist is a critical role within our IT Infrastructure team, responsible for the technical administration and support of our network services. This position requires a strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN services, WiFi, and virtual switching environments.
  • Provide 2nd to 3rd level support for network-related services, including troubleshooting, incident response, and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network administration, end-user support, and technical management.
  • Report on operational audits and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Related college diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role, with proven expertise in network design, implementation, and support.
  • Strong knowledge of current hardware, protocols, and standards, including Cisco switching platforms, Brocade/Foundry, and Solarwinds management/troubleshooting products.
  • Excellent collaboration and synergy skills, with a customer service-driven attitude.
  • Affluent abilities with core applications, including MS Office, Google Apps, Visio, and MS Project.

This is a permanent position located in downtown Toronto, with an annual salary of $90,000.00 plus bonus.
