Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cage Associate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing cash transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills.
  • Discrepancy Monitoring: Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities.
  • Value Chip Redemption: Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash.
  • Racing Ticket Sales: Sell racing tickets, vouchers, racing programs, and value chips as required.
  • Machine Fill Verification: Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, table fills, and credits.
  • Float Management: Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants, reconcile closing floats, transfer, and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents.
  • Transaction Documentation: Document and reconcile transactions, and may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all operational departments and build strong working relationships with guests and team members.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling.
  • Licensing: Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Customer Service: Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
Work Environment

The Part-Time Cage Associate will work in a regular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, and may be required to work non-traditional hours.
